Are you tired of navigating your car’s complicated controls while driving? Volkswagen has announced the introduction of its enhanced in-car AI voice assistant, IDA, powered by ChatGPT and other models, set to debut on September 6th. This feature will be initially available on the 2025 Jetta, Jetta GLI, and the 82kWh battery version of the 2024 ID.4, with more models to follow later this year.

To access ChatGPT in your VW, you will need to subscribe to VW’s Plus Speech with AI service. The company plans to integrate this new AI voice assistant into most of its 2025 models, including the ID.4, ID Buzz (offering three years of free service), GTI, Golf R, and Tiguan (with one year of complimentary service).
